The groundhog may have seen his shadow… but I am OVER winter and refuse to believe we will have six more weeks of dreary weather. So, I am channeling all my good spring vibes into my home to make it through the last bit of this season! We moved into this house mid-December and I am so excited that our living room is finally decorated! I just got these set of four picture frames just in time to finish the space. I love how it has turned out!
Here’s a peek at my latest living room finds and how I’ve curated them in my new home:
New Picture Frames Above Our Built in Cabinets
Like I said, my most recent update were these picture frames above our built in cabinets! I wanted something that would fill this space, without the commitment of picking out art (we will one day). I love this set of four frames, they come in a variety of colors. I was drawn to the modern square shape, the frames are 16″x16″, but and each frame fits a 5″x7″ photo which gives it more of an artistic vibe if you ask me!
Our Living Room Rug: The Perfect Contrast
I knew I wanted a rug that would contrast against the light colors in our living room this large oriental area rug from Amazon was the perfect choice! It has a rich tone that anchors the space, adding depth and a pop of color! The best part? It’s super affordable, and the quality is great for the price. It really ties the whole room together and gives the area a more cohesive look, which is exactly what I wanted.
Affordable $188 Coffee Table
If there’s one piece of furniture I’m absolutely obsessed with, it’s this Walmart coffee table that I found for $188! I am still shocked with the quality and how perfect it looks! It looks like something straight out of a high-end furniture store, but it’s super affordable. The clean lines, natural wood tone, and modern aesthetic make it feel so much more expensive than it really is. It’s the perfect centerpiece for the living room, and I can’t get enough of how it elevates the space without the designer price tag. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it!
Pillows + Coffee Table Decor
Decorating the coffee table was another area where I had fun mixing affordable pieces from Target. I went for a set of books with a pop of color, a large candle, green ceramic tray, and cute little wicker basket to hold my remote! These were budget-friendly but still have that designer appeal. I also found my throw pillows from Target!
Classic Ivory Couches
Our couches are the Living Spaces Cameron IV sofas, but sadly they have been discontinued. If you’re looking for something similar, the Living Spaces Lago Foam Beige Fabric Sofas are a close match! I also found a comparable style on Wayfair, which offers a similar aesthetic at a slightly lower price point. The beige color is neutral enough to blend with everything else in the room, and it’s so comfy for lounging or entertaining guests!
Cheers to spring being right around the corner!
xoxo,
Lauren Emily Wiltse
