If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably saved your holiday cards throughout the years, they are just too sentimental to toss! They end up just sitting in my holiday bin year after year, so this year, I decided to turn my old cards into holiday decor! I used festive fabric and a frame to create some pretty wall art. The best part is, it’s affordable and easy to make!
What You’ll Need
– Your holiday cards (if you don’t have any from previous years you can start this year with one card!)
– Fabric (large enough to fit frame with an extra inch on each side to wrap around, mine is from Amazon)
– Frame (I used a 16″ x 20″ frame from Amazon)
– Scissors
– Packing Tape
How to Make It
1. Cut and Wrap the Fabric
Cut your fabric so it’s about 1 inches larger than your frame backing on all sides. Wrap it snugly around the backing and secure it with tape. Make sure to cut little slits for the metal clips that fasten against your frame.
2. Attach Your Cards
Center your cards on the fabric and tape them down. You can layer multiple cards or even add embellishments like buttons, ribbon, or mini ornaments for extra flair.
3. Frame It Up
Pop your finished piece into the frame. If you’re using an open frame, tie a ribbon around it and hang it on a wall, mantle, or even the tree!
4. Style & Enjoy
Hang your frame and enjoy all season long!
Minted Cards
I order my cards from Minted every year, I love their selection and quality! If you still need to order your cards, they were nice enough to give me the code LAUREN20 for 20% cards and gifts (valid through 12/31)!
