Thank you La Crema for sponsoring this post
Hosting for the holidays is always so fun! The beautiful decor, yummy food, delicious wine + quality time with friends and family! Whether you are a host this year or a guest, a great glass of wine can make or break the holiday meal! I am sharing two perfect side dishes & wine pairings from La Crema that you can confidently bring to any holiday get-together. The best part is, if you are coming from out of town (or you don’t want to cook) – a bottle of wine is all you need in hand to show up to your next festive feast! You can even team up with a friend or family member to create the food while you bring the wine!
There’s nothing like coming together with good wine! La Crema Winery is giving 40 lucky winners $50 gift cards to help with luggage costs so you can come together with your loved ones this holiday season. To see how to enter, head to La Crema’s website! Good luck! Don’t forget to check out the full set of rules here.
Now let’s get into the wine & meals! The two feature bottles in today’s post are La Crema Chardonnay and La Crema Pinot Noir. Two of my favorite go-to bottles! Let’s break it down so you can get to know the wines + impress your friends with the facts.

La Crema 2021 Chardonnay
• Rated Top 6% of Wines in the World
• Produced in Sonoma, California
• A bold, medium acidic white, creamy with a buttery taste
• Notes of: Butter, Oak, Vanilla, Pear, citrus
• Best served with Veggies, Poultry, Fish, & More
The Dishes + Pairings
Roasted ‘Pizza’ Mushrooms
For our La Crema Pinot Noir, I went with a fun twist on Pizza Mushrooms! Pinot Noir really compliments the smoked pepperoni and the earth from the mushrooms, making it a match made in Sonoma Heaven! This recipe is simple and a great side dish to pair with our main chicken dish too! See the full recipe here!
Bacon Balsamic Brussels with Holiday Honey Roasted Walnuts
For our La Crema Chardonnay pairing, I went with a holiday twist on a classic Brussels recipe! Chardonnay goes great with most veggie dishes, so I took a classic Bacon Balsamic Brussels recipe and added Honey Roasted Walnuts to compliments the creamy, nutty flavor! Bonus points that the bacon in the dish also pairs great with the Pinot Noir. Overall, both of these dishes go great with the wines! See the full recipe here!
I hope you all enjoyed this post, big thanks to La Crema for sponsoring! I hope this helps all of you with your holiday events + good luck to those who enter to win $50 from La Crema!
