The days leading up to New Year’s Eve were spent at the lake with my boyfriend and my family. I love the lake more than anything, while we were there we all took a walk down our driveway (which is really just a long gravel road) and my sister took this picture…
I instagramed it with the caption “Ready for 2015 with him by my side” and my dad looked at it and said “Oh I get it! The road behind you is 2014 and you’re walking into 2015!” -Leave it to him to think of that- but it got me thinking of what I want to do in 2015. Don’t worry, I’m not here to use the annoying phrase “new year new me!” but here are the resolutions I came up with to make myself happier in 2015…
1. Be content.
Regardless of the day, time, situation. Be happy and content with what is going on and what you choose.
2. Be happy.
Life does not have set rules, do what makes you happy.
3. Be healthy.
Mind and body. Drink water, eat healthy food, sleep well, work out.
4. Do not over think.
Creating problems that aren’t there just adds to stress.
5. Don’t worry.
You have spent far too long worrying about thinks that you don’t need to put your time into.
6. Don’t let people/things steal your joy.
Don’t let the little things get to you. Deep breath, let it go, be happy.
7. Make every moment count.
Regardless of the moment you’re in, who you’re with, what’s going on. Be there. Be happy.
8. Be outgoing.
Say “yes” to half of your invites. Life is short.
9. Don’t complain.
Take a second and collect yourself, things aren’t as bad as you’re making them out to be.
I love new years, they feel like a time to recreate yourself. What are your New Year’s resolutions?
