Mood: Ready to own my life

Weekly goals: Focus on me, start yoga, see the good in things

I found this idea from the wonderful Shelby from Lucky Day Blog who does weekly “mood boards” at the end of the week. I decided to change it up a bit and start my week off with an inspiration board, so I can have some inspiration for the week! Lately I’ve been trying to focus on me more – it may sound selfish but it’s something we all need to do. I’ve been in a slump lately and I’m ready for some changes, not only with my attitude but with my lifestyle. I can tell life has been telling me lately that I need to do something for me. Being a freshman in college is tough, it has come with changes and obstacles I didn’t see coming. With that I lost part of me, I’ve stopped caring for myself like I should, and I’ve been more negative.

So what am I doing? I’m taking after Marissa Lace and focusing on me. I decided to add Marissa to my inspiration board because she’s been an uplifting soul on social media lately, reminding me to care for myself. I think being good to you and your soul is something that isn’t talked about enough. So, as for my goals right now? Focus on me. Keep working out and eating clean. Try yoga. Get excited for Spring Break adventures.

…and find the beauty in every day! xx

What a nice surprise to be featured here — thank you! I love what you said about being good to yourself and your soul. While it can certainly be tricky to remember to make time for ourselves and to nurture our body, mind, and soul… when we ARE caring for ourselves first and foremost, we feel more aligned! This mood board is perfect for that. Here’s to owning our life and finding the beauty in each day. xo

Absolutely love this! Focusing on ourselves more isn’t selfish at all, I think it’s extremely important. This was such a lovely little reminder so thank you so much x I really like the idea with the mood board, I’ll definitely have to check out Shelbys blog 🙂 Also I just recently found Marissas channel & you’re right, she’s such an uplifting person.
