New Spring Bedding

Here in Kansas City it has slowly started to feel more and more like spring! With the spring weather comes a lot of days with the windows open, time outside, and spring cleaning (UGH). I have spent so much time decluttering and organizing lately – so I wanted to purchase a few fun things to give our primary bedroom a spring refresh! It’s like a reward 😉

Last weekend my mom, sisters, and I headed to Target and did some shopping! It had been awhile since I had let myself go “crazy” at Target – so this was a lot of fun! We shopped home decor and checked out the gardening section which made me so pumped for even more spring projects!

We came across this green floral bedding I had been eyeing an my mom convinced me to get it (we tend to be a dangerous combo at Target together because we persuade each other to get everything haha). I decided to go for it and I am so happy I did! With that being said, I do feel like the bedding is missing a bit something? Maybe a heavier white duvet to break up the colors or a large green lumbar pillow. I have also been thinking about painting this room green – but I love the calm beige color for our bedroom. It may be “basic” – but it makes it feel so peaceful. We shall see!

Bedroom Details

I have had these Target bedside tables for a few yers now and I am still as obsessed with them as I was on day one! They fit so much! I recently re-organized my drawers so I will post more about that soon, I found the perfect drawer organizers that perfectly match the wood color. It looks so good!

Our bed is from RoveConcepts (Color: Alesund, Size: King) and it may be the most expensive furniture item we have ever bought, but was very much worth it! It is so high quality and looks cozy! We really wanted a shorter bed that would fit under our window. As you can probably tell from some of these photos, we have one window in an awkward space behind the bed. There was no other place to put our bed but this wall – so we had to find the perfect bed that did not block it!

Our ivory rug really pulled together the cozy vibe I was initially going for when decorating this room, but I am now leaning towards something with more color to break up the space. Let me know your thoughts!

Okay, do not judge our unfinished console table. I have been meaning to stain this thing for 2+ years! I just have yet to choose a color. I do not want it to look too matchy-matchy with our bedside table – so I need to experiment a bit and go test out some stains! I love this table though and it looks so great with our black circle mirror.

xoxo,
