For some reason whenever I ask you guys on Instagram what post you want to see, so many people always say “Morning Routine” or “Night Routine.” I always put it off because I did not have a solid routine, but I feel like I finally have one down that I love, so today I thought I would share it with you guys! Let me know if you want to see my night routine next!

I actually love mornings. The mornings that I wake up super early are the best because I feel like I am able to conquer so much of my day! I am also someone that gets tired in the afternoon for a few hours and tend to slow down on productivity, so being up early helps me get a jumpstart on tasks!

1. Wake up & Let my Pup Out

I don’t really have an exact time I wake up every day, it usually depends how late I stayed up the night before because I like to get at least 8 hours of sleep. Pretty much any time before 8:00 a.m. is my benchmark, but before 7:00 a.m. is my goal! The first thing I do in the morning is let my dog out and feed him!


2. Make my Bed & 15 Minute Tidy

The “15 minute tidy” is a new habit I have started. I like to make sure everything is in order for the day ahead! I make my bed, start laundry, tidy any messes, and wash any dishes I have! This helps me get a good start to my day!

3. Fill my Water & Make Espresso

I usually do not eat breakfast because I am not hungry for it in the morning, instead I fill up my 100 ounces of water that I drink daily and an espresso shot. I like to drink my water in the morning with a little lemon and I make sure to have at least 10 oz before I drink any coffee!


4. Plan my Day

If you didn’t know, I am a serial iCalendar planner. I did a full post on it here! I have been doing it since the beginning on college and it really helps with productivity and prioritizing what I need to get done. I actually have reoccurring tasks that say “15 minute tidy,” “fill water & make coffee,” “shower” etc. that I know that I do everyday! While I drink my coffee I like to plan out my actual work tasks for the day!


5. Shower

I like to shower pretty early in the morning so I can let my hair air dry for as long as possible. I finish it off with a quick blow dry after an hour or so. I just have SO MUCH HAIR because of my extensions so it takes forever to dry!


6. Answer Emails

While my hair is drying I start answering emails and any blog comments I have!


7. Get ready

Then I blow dry my hair and get ready for the day! As of right now I am working from home, but I still like to put on a cute outfit and get in a work mindset instead of just wearing sweats all day!

    Thanks for sharing this! I checked your iCalendar post and enjoyed it too. Would you do more of a day in the life post. Walking us through what you do in a random day along with the food you eat? This would even be a fun youtube video. Thanks!
